Get Your Voting Finger Ready Again

Well it looks like we could have yet another chance to vote in May.  As well as the General Election it is muted that the  whole District Council  have elections again, either in May 2015 or May 2016, and thereafter every 4 years, effectively changing the electoral cycle so that there will be no bits and dribbles of one third at a time.

I'm all for saving money, which is what this is all about, but I bet some councillors who only got in by a whisker will be hoping the 2016 date gets selected if the changes do go ahead .  Whatever happens a decision will be made by the council on the 5th March on whether to make any changes or leave as it is at the current time.

Well nothing on the council depot yet, although I suppose they'll still be completing the paperwork and getting the bags of cash ready.  I still think it was a bad idea though, worse than selling the family silver but then bean counters were never very good when it came to common sense.

Looks like there are more mass solar panels coming.  Linehouse Farm, Linecroft Lane has put in planning permission on one of their fields.  Probably just visible from the main road.  More sense installing for your own use, assuming of course that this is the case.
