All Over For Another Year

Well if you are like me you consider the last few weeks have gone by faster than Jack Shit.  Anyway, a New Year to go at so what do we have in store for us?

Well I suppose first on the agenda is the "Public Consultation Exhibition for the Proposed Solar PV Farm".  That's on the 22 January at Walkeringham Village Hall between 3 and 7pm.  Whether you are interested is another matter.  What niggles me is that all this takes up agricultural land but then that's my view.

Then there's that other little little snippet that appear on the Planning List - Screening Opinion for Residential Development.  Sort of getting your ducks in a row before you fire.  I'm not against new houses in the village, it's just a question of our ancient infrastructure that won't support large scale development.  Of course they are all very good at papering over the cracks and presenting a perfect picture with a few goodies thrown in.

The old Newell Dunford site still remains a barren mess with the proposed housing still on the drawing board, presumably because they know if it gets built they wont sell.  Let's face it, if they try and sneak those town houses in like they did on the Walkeringham side of the village I suspect war will be declared.

So I suppose when you take this into account, more houses near the school is a bit superfluous in the current climate, not to mention the fact that this is also agricultural land and once it's gone it's gone.

I understand there has been plenty of action around the old council depot with views so sounds like it will go to auction on the 29th January.  It will be interesting to see what it will be used for.

Got my wires crossed on the new young council member, his name is Alex Myers along with boss Wayne.  Nice to get some different faces  and views.

Finally those bloody tea leaves are at it again, numerous burglaries in the village and some in the day time I understand. To be hoped they never get caught in action.
