Well I suppose you have had your letter, the Solar Farm project has hit a major problem, they can't find a socket to plug it all into and the project has fallen at the first panel. Perhaps someone close by can lend them an extension cord. Still, shame to waste all those solar panels, they could be distributed round the village, I'm sure we have plenty of south facing roofs that would benefit from a bit of free power.
I was never a fan of these panels occupying agricultural land but given the amount of warehouse roof space available in the country, I'm surprised more use has not been made of them. The ones I'm particularly fond of are those on the office block round the corner from Morrisons, or rather in front of the office, the ones that swivel round to follow the sun and when there is no sun the panels all stare upwards to get every bit of light available.
Ah well, that's one thing less to worry us. Next will be the planning idea for near the school. Got nothing against new houses but with our poor sewage and drainage problems, which would affect the rest of us, not a good idea. If the houses on the old Newells site get built and other bits, that would mean over 300 new houses in the village. Exactly how would that work when you want to see a doctor in a practice that already provides a service for other villages in the area. About time some legislation was applied to 'professional' locums who appear to be only in it for the money.
