Well what can I say, although it's gone on for years, the dogs not picking up their crap after it has been deposited around the village. Then when they do pick it up it's thrown into the nearest hedge or garden. Name and shame now going to be the in thing for 2015. Funny though, when you go by and see a dog in action, you automatically look at who is holding the lead to see if they are perched and ready to scoop up. With all this publicity a lot more of us will be taking an interest.
While we are at it, a fancy new website for the parish council is fine, if it works, but I don't like to see this when I click on a pdf for the January agenda of the parish council meeting:
Why on earth doesn't someone test the link. Doesn't look good or very professional when most of us haven't got time to make a special journey to the notice board (assuming of course it is on, you never know nowadays). Even worse is the fact that half the time it doesn't appear until the actual meeting is over. I hope they don't all get a big bonus for poor service. Can't be that hard to keep a website up to date. Maybe they ought employ a 10 year old.
Just a thought but if we get up to our goolies in snow this year, where exactly is the snow plough going to come from since we no longer have a council depot on site in the village. Suppose we'll be last on the list for the far corner of Bassetlaw. Then when they come they only do what they have to, leaving the fire station and school route still covered in ice or snow.
Now that might be a useful item to buy with all this cash floating around from various sources, a snow plough and gritting machine to hook onto a tractor. Got plenty of them round the village.
