And We Have LIGHT

Don't know what strings were pulled and what the reason was but lights are either on or going to be on again during the early hours of the morning on Hillsyde Avenue.  The rest of the village in the side streets have to do without but Hillsyde Avenue is apparently a special case.  Not really an avenue, more like a cul-de-sac.

Now I know at least one resident from another area of the village has complained because he was out to work early at some ungodly hour to the rest of us.  As far as I am aware nothing was done so why now?

For the majority of us I would suspect it hasn't made much difference to our lives, we are well into our beds by the time they go off (1pm I think and maybe 5 back on).  Does having a parish councillor on the street make the difference?  To be honest I think it is a bit off; if you need lighting that much when going out in the early hours of the morning, get a torch, a really good one.  Trouble is some of us are too feather bedded, what happened during the war no lights at all apart from when the bombs fell.  Better still get lights all round the house and deter the burglars as well.

Well if you know what constituted a special case, please let me know, I would be really interested.
