How they spend money over and above what is in the kitty, which for some reason they are reluctant to to put on paper and distribute throughout the village, is important and impacts on how much we pay in future on our council tax. I for one do not want money spent on a vanity project, particularly when I know for a fact that the dice is loaded against members who I believe do have a grain of sanity to object. Regardless of whether it is spent on the old library or the VI, neither is viable. In addition to this there has been no consultation about our needs and more importantly what it is going to cost.
I do know for a fact that there is incredulity from residents that they are taking this course of action but I suppose the parish council are going to rely on inertia to get them through the starting gate.
